Baling Corn Stalks and Wheat Straw For Cellulosic Ethanol

At Maize Corporation, we are supporters of ethanol and and renewable.  Recently we have had increased interest in baling of crop residuals as feedstock for bio-refineries.  Here is a link to a Canadian project that provides a good insight into collection and transportation of baled residuals.http://www.iogen.ca/news_events/events/Pane_%20Feedstock.pdf

Off season service and parts

We have several experienced baler service technicians that we work with and travel extensively across several states from Utah to Ohio.  The demand for their services has risen to the point that we would encourage you to call as early as possible to reserve a spot on the service schedule when they are in your area.  Once you are on the list, you will be contacted by the technician prior to his arrival so you can have your baler cleaned up and in a shop or good work environment for the work to be performed.

For those of you who do your own service, we would appreciate the opportunity to supply all your parts needs.  We offer discount pricing and would be happy to quote you a parts list of the key items that should be checked or replaced to get you in shape to run trouble free in 2011.

Give us a call at 888-722-8710 and we can get you fixed up.

Baling Cornstalks and crop residues.

With Fall, we begin to get calls asking for advice on bailng cornstalks and other crop residues with the big square baler.  Maize Corporation offers several items that can easily be added to a baler to make bailing cornstalks profitable and productive.
  • We design a perferated pan below the packer crank that allows dirt and sand to fall out before the material goes into the carge and bale chamber.  This eliminates the build up.  This is a simple bolt in kit.
  • Needle brush kits for all 4x4x8 balers can be added to the plunger.  These are standard equipment on all mid-sized and new generation models.  The brush keeps the needles clean before entering the knotter head.
  • Plunger sweep plate extensions that attach to the top face of the plunger and push the top coner of the bale back into the chamber several inches, allowing more clearance for the needles to come past without carrying material into the knotter head.
  • Bale Restrictor kits that can be added to the bale chamber to help shape and add density and weight to the bale.
  • Knotter blower kit update, these kits can be added to any baler and keep the entire knotter area blown clean.  Crop residues are exeptionally dirty and can play havoc on your knotter performance.
Give us a call at 888-722-8710 and we can get you set up for a problem free campaign bailng stalks.
